Charlottesville reggae band the Dubsettor's mourn the loss of our number 2 keys player Daniel Isner, who played his last gig {for now} in Lynchburg with the Dubsettors this past weekend. The show was at Rivermont Pizza with Spicetafar-I aka Jah spice. We got a good recording and may release to the site to be downloaded for free so look for that.
Daniel aka Jah D left to further his knowledge in sustainable agriculture we wish him the best....
That leaves the Dubsettor line up as follows:
Greg Ward from the Greg Ward Project Lead Vocals and Guitar
Gabe Gavin has played bass, guitar, and keyboard with reggae bands from Virginia to Hawaii. He toured the western united states with the 8750 Reggae Band from Telluride, Colorado. The 8750 band brought original roots music from Texas to Canada and every state in between, sharing stages with reggae greats such as Culture, Steel Pulse, and Third World.
Gabe also played throughout the Hawaiian islands with the 4WORD reggae band, opening for bands such as Israel Vibrations, Midnite, Beres Hammond, Dezarie, and Bambu Station. He played rhythm guitar with the band Lambsbread which backed Jamaica’s Luten Fyah at One Love Garden on the island of Kauai.
Recordings on which Gabe can be heard include the compilation CD “Dread In America”, Geoff Stump’s album “Peace X Piece”, and Lambsbread’s debut album, “Sing Praise”.

Miles Pearce on lead Guitar and sounds,
Sevren Gourley
Reverend Sevren (Tenor Saxophone) has been an effulgent buoy in the
eclectic swill of contemporary audiotrophic creation with acts as
diverse as Christhammer, Accordion Death Squad, and the Bill T. Jones
project and has recently emerged as one of Charlottesville's most
versatile horn players after a two-year sabbatical in Blacksburg,
Virginia. The Reverend hosts a radio program on WTJU 91.1FM and
performs with the ever carnivorous Rock N' Roll Cannibals in addition
his incendiary work as Tenor Sax man for the Dubsettors. Sevren is a
student of klezmer music, theology, history, and horticulture and will
be traveling to Zambia in late July as part of the Peace Corps' Rural
Aquaculture Development program.
The Dubsettor's wait for no man. Catch them @:
