French Reggae Scene

Here it is, a showcasing of some of the finest reggae and dub artist France has to offer. First Ludovic Navarre – aka St Germain. Not simpley a dub producer St. Germain has forged an international reputation for his cutting-edge fusions of jazz, African rhythms and dance beats. St Germain's second album, "Tourist", proved to be a phenomenal hit worldwide and helped put the "French Touch" movement firmly on the musical map.Tourist is more of a jazzy, lounge, down tempo sort of vibe, good stuff, I have been a fan for years find out why...

Next we have Le Peuple De L'herbe with the song No Escape
This is more dub breakbeat,

reggae and dancehall influenced gets the dancefloor moving for sure, I first got into Le Peuple De L'herbe back in 2001 when my friend Chapman returned from Paris with their music. We will be in France soon hip to the trip for conscious reggae and for this occasion I have been practicing my French so that I can say "vous êtes fou si vous pensez que je ne suis pas le roi de l'herbe"

Last we have The Dynamics with a fench dub twist on a now American clasic. I found this in my reasearch for this article and thought it was phat. I hope you enjoyed this glance into the French reggae dub scene.
