I must admit that I got the off island blues, and sometimes I wonder stuck in the concrete jungle; Virginia Reggae? What the Fuck. The vibe is different here, Charlottesville. More Honky Tonk wanna be country than anything else a music scene not so open to the Island Vibe. Despite this all, there are quite a few reggae musicians who not only work there fingers to the bone to spread the positive vibe, but also happen to be world class musicians in their right.

Starting with world class blues virtuoso Corey Harris whose latest album Zion Crossroads was as Roots Reggae as it gets. Corey also tours with the 5x5 band that includes Members of the Culture
backing Band as well as Virginia's own Stable Roots

Stable Roots spawned other Va Reggae acts such as iRON LION as well as The Greg Ward Project Greg Ward has toured with many Reggae greats such as Stable Roots The Itals, and many others.
From there we have Ever G from Hanover Jamaica,Va transplant artist. For infomation on Ever G This is just a quick look into The Virginia Reggae Scene, where evidently there is alot of love for Reggae music and positive vibes.......
